have my Christmas card mojo PLEASE let me have it back cos I'm struggling/panicking!!!!

I have orders that are regular customers who have a fair few as their 'norma;'card...we are talking 200+ here and Im stuck stuck STUCK!!!!!!!

Trouble is, the more you panic the more it dont flow eh!

Ah well..back to cutting and filling me bin LOL

Well I did this Engagement card yesterday for my friends Daughter and boyfriend. The papers are Pink Petticoat, the hearts are embossed using various Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Hi everyone

I have been AWOL as I've been really busy with Wedding and card orders...lucky to be busy I know! Thats without all the housework duties, those damn fairies were hired to do and must have gone on strike LOL

Anywyas, another busy week for me....but exciting.

On Saturday it is our Wedding Anniversary [yes Halloween!!!} Our 11th to be precise We don't normally really celebrate it but this year we are off to se Les Mis in London. Ive always been a fan of the songs from the show and have mentioned it once or twice :) Then we were luck enough that in the summer the London cast came over to the Island and performed the most amazing concert of the songs...well my hubby is as hooked as me! So he booked this as a surprise and off we shall go. Big adventure, haven't been to London since living on the outskirts over 10 years ago YIKES

Then Im at a wedding fare on Sunday, then Monday we have visitors...all go in this house lol

So forgive me if I flitt from time to time, I will catch up with all my lovely fav blogs now n then. Im still having trouble with my following, I have you on my dashboard, but, I don't seem to show on some of your blogs, so I re follow as and when...do get confusing for me iccle brain!

A massive massive

MASSIVE THANK YOU to Liz, Pink Petticoat....

I have had a problem printing baby pink on my printers, always have for years. Ive tried and tried to find out why to no avail...well that is until this morning YAY

I sat here about to purchase the fabby new kit and thought I will have to just buy a new printer [making 3!!] to use just for pink, try another make to Epson. So I popped over to Liz's blog where she has a whole section entitled 'Which Printer' She has given her rec on her printers and loads of you have left comments on to which printer they like. It is so helpful!! I read through all the comments and suddenly saw a lady, Annie, that has the same problem as me. Liz replied to her explaining a possible solution...changing the Printer pref, in Advance settings to ICM, which I am presuming means Ink colour Management....

Well you can guess the ret..I CAN PRINT BABY PINK double YAY

Im so happy I cant explain!!

Sketch Saturday

Ive had a little bash at a sketch, over on Sketch Saturday, using more 'stuff' than I normally do. Firstly I printed the Pistachio from Pink Petticoat onto cream background and my theme was white black and green, so decided to have green black white and cream! LOL But I kinda like it. Then I lost the sketch!!! Thankfully found it but see I haven't added enough flowers...maybe that doesn't matter? Not sure

No colouring from me, I like this stamp plain and as the card is busy I [again] think it works

Trouble printing baby pink

I thought Id ask this question on here as I have absolutely no luck with printing baby pink! Particularly from digital background papers. It isn't any of the downloads at fault, its my printers for some reason. Does anyone else experience this? Id so love to print baby pink, its my FAV colour! It always prints a lil-yucky shade
My printers are Epson DX6000, using Epson inks [have same trouble with compats too] and I have a Epson DX4000 with a CIS [continuous ink system]

As you can imagine it does my HEAD IN!!

I also have trouble with red on my CIS but Im not really a red kid so it dont bother me...as much!

Daring Card makers Challenge...

Folding up
I made this card with photos supplied by my friend, as they were a bit small I was unsure of what to do, then came up with having a bash as a stair step card. I found the instruction on SCS here THANK YOU they were so easy to follow. I 'cobbled' up the tall additional peak on the side and have since found full instructions for doing the whole thing together DUH Story of my life really LOL Still it did the job

ABC Challenge Embossing

I had to make an Anniversary card with both Polish and English wording on the front. Wanted to keep the design simple as Im not sure how they traditionally depict the anniversary over there. I was given the translation and copied letter by letter so hopefully it is ok!

My good old Swiss Dots embossing folder always comes in handy...most days!!

Holiday booked

Mum decided today to book holiday for me and her! Not til next July 5th [9 months exactly to be exact!] We are off to Norway again, but much further North, even going to cross the Arctic circle! Am a tidge excited already hehe
Off on the Crown Princess, normally only been with Cunard QE2 or QM2 so be lovely to try another ship, eventhough they part of the same company

Steve will be home looking after Belle and Charlie and enjoying himself watching the world cup and cooking 'what he wants'...HOPE he clears up before i get home LOL

My entry for One Stop Craft challenge....

...'Die Cuts'
Hi everyone, I had such a naff nights sleep last night, for no reason, but, my mind was churning, but one good thing I had a creative moment and planned this card...as ya do LOL

The card is basically A5 finished. But I cut 2 pieces of 15cm wide and stuck the 2 ends 6cm deep , where the hearts are, then the opening is my favourite 6x6.....hope that makes sense!
The paper is Pink Petticoat, one of my FAV designs in the collections, it works for almost any occasion and with the swirls its bang on trend! The little heart gem is a watery blue, but, it may not show up too well...had a change from a pink one! The die cuts are Sizzix hearts

FAB theme over on Cute Card Thursday of Hidden Treasure. Well I made this card yesterday for Mum's best friends husband to give her tomorrow for her 60th. He'd given me some photos to include...so I decided to make a little pull out booklet of the photos, but keep the card pretty and 'hide the photos inside the little booklet...OK so being a wombat I forgot to photograph the photos pulled out..DUH So please disregard my entryias I cant prove what I did now cos its gone ha ha

An apology...re following

Garden card

I always, always, ALWAYS...get my drift! I purchased the images from Daisie and PC Crafter and came up with this simple, but I think effective card. I shall be doing it again in the future. I have decouped the flower head a bit to give a little depth.

Over on Kaboodle their challenge this week is charms so as I have used a slider charm and a frame charm so I hope thats ok as I haven't used a hangy charm!

So I decided to use a card I made today, it fits in perfectly with the Papertake girlies here It is their 100th challenge this week..how amazing is that! So the spec really is to choose from past challenges and make a new card. so I have chosen the Week 'Seeing spots' from %th January 2009.

We have Danny and girlfriend Jess coming tonight, for a week, looking forward to seeing them very much. [Danny is my Stepson and calls me Mum which is more special than I can explain]

Our little garden visitor today..

Aww this little 'chap' is often in our garden, he is so cute. Well I say always, but, not when Scoopy was here, he stayed hiding LOL We only have red squirrels on the island, the grey ones arent allowed here as they would kill them off...booo bad grey squirrels lol They are a stunning colour, unfortunately our little buddie was soaked so he looked darker than normal

So wish I could take good photos, but, you can see how he is clinging onto the fat ball container, then hanging by his back legs eating..hehe was a sweet 15 minutes watching him

Completely Heartbroken...

Yesterday, we lost our precious, darling Beau. She had to have emergency op due to swelling [spleen] and found there to be further complications so had to take the awful decision us dog owners dread.
She was so special,

Over on ABC challenge this weeek is to create a card using just 2 colours. Base card colur and skin/hair excluded.
well I have made this white card with gold and pink, BUT, Im sure Im a bit too far removed from the spec...so no probs not to count me!
This is a stunning foiled card from Kanban, Ive added punched flowers, gems and liquid pearls. As with all my photography my cards do look better in the flesh than on a photo...well thats my story and Im sticking to it LOL

Been wanting to get some for a while, you know how it is!! Id made a few VERY subtle hints to steve and Mum that Id like them for my Birthday...but November is sooooo far away.. Well a girl cant wait that long eh! lol Then someone paid me some money back and well the rest is history as they say..... Good old Mummy [[Fanks Mum Im forever in your debt..as you well know ha ha] has leant me the money to get them, so as of tomorrow i will be able to colour with them. Hence my being scared.

OK so as you can see my plus one is lime green. Was gonna do pink, as per usual! but thought NO Mandi do another colour, do green you like green..so here it is...Yes OK I had a moment...not sure what I was getting at really ha ha Just wish Id done pink now. One swirl is glittered to makit it look a bit arty farty, but, it hasn't shown up

Cos i cannot find my mojo! I have made the odd card for orders, btu, since my hols I just cannot make a thing. i dunno what's wrong. Im trying walking away and leaving it, but whn i come back i faff around and make NOTHING. Ive been into the challenges with sketches, but still nothing!!

Hello....Im back!

Had a F-A-BULOUS holiday. Weather wasnt overly great, 2 days hot..too hot for my delicate skin hehe Then rpetty naff. Seems you had better weather than we did in the med...typical! I was a tidge sea sick for some of the cruise too...such a Salty Seadog LOL Back here today to glorious sunshine,so not too holiday sick...well OK a big bit!
My fav place we visited was Monte Carlo/Monaco.Ive had it on my wish list for ages. OH it was wonderful there. Went up to Monaco to the palace and happened to be in tinme to see changing of the guards..they play a musical box type bell chime,I was in tears hehe Was so beautiful

Well I made this card and I am so proud of meself LOL I have a little friend that is going to her prom soon and she LOVES LOVES LOVE SDanny from McFly...well here it is!
I was stressing for an Escort image and a friend printed off one for me[THANK YOU] Charmed crafts...I just chopped his head off and used Danny, then the girl is also form Charmed, I did tweak her a bit in Paint too as the original has a split up the front of the skirt and her legs are showing, but, I didnt think appropriate for a 16 year old girlie. The head is from another of the designs and I hid the hand thyat held the mask as again, not right for this card...

Another challenge

I hope LOL So bright this card, I should have warned you all to wear your sunglasses LOL I had great fun with it! I used the Funky Fairy download papers that are so GORGE. As soon as I decided to do the hens I knew I had to use the FF paper as it matches their legs perfectly hehe

Happy BH Monday

...well I am cos at 6oc this morning my Mojo came back! Ive scooted through a wadge of cards...my minimal quick ones for some I sell in a cafe but even so more than I acheived all day yesterday GGRRR
So onto a challenge card...well 2 to be precise! The colour combo challenge #10 over on Pink Elephant is green/yellow/pink so I hope this is ok...obviously dont count it if I havent added enough yellow. And the layout is the FABBY sketch on Sketch and Stash challenge #8

GGRRRRR

Have any of you had this....

From my dashboard I click to look at someones new card [wont say who cos I knwo it isnt thier faultand it willlook like Im blaming them] I get a box comeup,saying Blank and it is trying to load and load and load, over and over. Then I click toclose tabs and yet more load and load. The only way I can clear it is alt delete then restart
So hard to explain, but, it happened yesterday too...on another blog I have to say

Hello girlies

Ive managed to knock up a challenge today! Been have a huge sort out this week, thrown loads of old clothes that I wont wear anymore.....NOTHING to do with them being to small of course! :} Been shopping and now thought Id sit and make a challenge card. Its a FAB sketch by Tracie on Sketch Saturday here
Ive used a stamp I havent used in ages Hapton Art 'Dress Shop' The pink paper is a download form the FABULUS Funky Fairys and the aqua is Clare Curds super new Signature range OH the buckle/slider is form a jumper Mum was throwing,they were around the collar of the jumper, so I nabbed them before she changed her mind to throw it LOL...Thanks Mum lol x

Had to make a HUGE card

Im never a fan of making anything larger than A4 folded...A5. But was specially asked to make an A4 finished size for a lady's 70th. It is from the members of a Dog Club over here, but, it had to be pretty...OH and she has just bought a Tibetan Terrier, so I bunged them on the front!

Be gentle with me......

There's a great sketch over on Stamp Something challenge this week and some FAB DTcards here Right so for mine I have actually......coloured with pencils..SHOCK HORROR! OK Im not in any of your leagues yet but Ive tried [not that I had any choice with the nagging Ive had from a certains Scoopy-liscious person LOL}
Well here's the result using my Karisma [old style Prismacolor] pencils, blended and shaded to the best of my ability as a complete beginner. Im liking it eventhough its so far removed from my normal style.
Having said that the card looks a bit plain as if there's something missing, so may add the 'thing' when I find it!

Can anyone remember life before ClareCurd's stamps......

...cos I can't LOL I've made 3 cards in as many days, a Birthday, an Anniversary and a Mother's Day for my Mum and I've used the FAB butterfly from Clare Curd's new range of stamps here I think it is simply gorjuss and I'm adapting it to suit any theme right now LOL Not sure what the men in my life are gonna think ha ha

Wont be around for a week...

Im off tomorrow to pick up my bestest Aunty and Godmother [one person,that sounded confusing sorry ha ha] Stopping at hers over night then coming back here til Sunday. Had a bit of a find today.....

Was chatting on the phone with me mate Scoopy. We were talking craft stuff..as per!! ha ha She has recently per-chased some fabby Prismacolor pencils. We were discussing if I needed them! Well suddenly she says, they used to be called Karisma...something in my mind went 'DING' and I scooted over to my drawers and low and behold what I got about 50of........Karisma pencils..How cool is that ROFL
The story....
My GORGE [as of NOW] hubby, Steve bought me these pencils back in the dark ages...about 1992! Well Id never really even sharpened them. These have somehow lasted 3 house moves and across they came to the Isle of Wiget with me.....
Needless to say they are now beautifully sharpened and in pride of place on my desk!
Rang Steve told him he is officially THE bestest hubby in the whole world ha ha

Over here is another fab design and DT cards. I needed to do a teenage card and used the rather lush new downloads from Charmed Crafts here
I do think I may add TEENAGER tomorrow, I prefer things to be not as symetrical as this so i may add it vertically up the left hadn side. Will cut it out and try it tomrrow. If I do I'll amend the piccy...can you sleep with the excitement ROFL mandi xoxox

Thursday Sugarbowl challenge

Over here on Sugarbowl challenge the spec is to create a love themed card..so much luurrrv in the air atm...dunno why LOL Anyways here is mine..

I paper pierced Dexter's jumper to match the paper strip behind him. I took a HUGE plunge and did faux stitching round the edge..so chuffed with myself LOL I know its VERY crudely done compared to the lovely sticthing you ladies do but hey ho its a start...may see some real stitching one day hehehe

My minimal Friday sketch challenge

Hi everyone, there's a fab sketch over on Friday Sketchers. The spec was to follow the basic layout then add as many embellies as tyou wanted...well I am a white space minimal gal so I sorta just did the basic layout. Had done it in pink/org/ black but I thought Blimey none of you will like it...well you probably wont like this ha ha OH PS...the 'eyelash' bit at the bottom of the purple and pink is more curled now...looks naff on the photo

Few cards for a snowy day

Well actually it hasn't been that bad here. Has snowed on and off since 2pm but not settled on the paths or roads. Had to pop out twice to deliver cards and boy oh boy it's frrrrreeeezin! We are forecast snow for tomrrow..well who isn't! so see if we do. I know it messes everything up but I do love the snow it is so pretty. Well here are 3 cards Ive doen today. The Martini glass one is a quick one for my friend. Her surname is Pink..how cool is that! 2 Challenges for this card.....

FAB sketch and DT cards, goes without saying really. Ive used my gorjus Dexter Bear. Ive combined the Charisma challenge for the colours to do the sketch. The DT creations are GREAT over there too As the theme was black and white and one other colour...well pink everytime for me lol I kept him plain, have glittered him in the shadow areas, the edge of the matt is glittered as is it on the sentiment. Thansk for a fab sketch...I messed up so have jiggled the 2 strips...sorry TFL mandi xx OH when I was planning this card in my head I decided I'd try the faux stitching look round the edges as it goes with Dex's jumper...whoops glittered n forgot DUH!

1] I have absolutely ZERO confidence, in myself or anything I do! Am getting slightly better in my 'creations' but not much lol
2} I try to please too many people resulting in getting myself in a pickle
3} I wear my heart n my sleeve and can be a bit over sensitive
4} I am able to say what I think....not to the point of rudeness [I hope] but I would much rather be honest and up fornt
5} Im 5'8" wish I wasnt so tall as I LOVE shoes and have loads of high ones so I become a GIANT ha ha
6} LOVE animals.....would love a small holding, with a cow, couple of sheep, a horse, chickens but for now my 2 doggies are enough....OH and Charlie my African Grey parrot
7)Blimey arent these bor-ring!!! I value my friendships and I strive to be a good one back..I hope I am!!
8) I am a joker...to the point I don't know when to shut up at times which makes me cringe, but, still my mouth seems to open LOL
9) Did I say I LOVE shoes ha ha I have over 80 pairs
10) Finally I havent left the best til last, cos right now I cant think of one ROFL erm.....I LOVE pink...especially with orange!

Now, I see a lot of my buddys have been given this so I will give that a bit of thought later too.....sorry x

Was looking in a few storage boxes for somethign this morning and came across somethign very exciting...a set of Promarkers..I know!!!!!!!! Cant hardly believe it myself lol I purchased form Letraset in a 'bundle' at NEC quite a few years back now. Not for a challenge

...after using those Papermania Spring Burst papers yesterday I thought Id use them for another card today. Cup Cake Challenge for this week

Over here is this weeks challenge sketch. Looks nice and simple but once you start layering it is so effective. Not added a sentiment as Im not sure what I'll use it for...or may even leave it plain. Hope you like mine TFL Hugs xx

Ingredients
Papermania Spring Burst papers in purpel, lime and white shades. a Penny Black 'Blowy flower' as I call them but its called 'Lace flower' by them! Ive used various flower punches, then shaped them so that they are slightly 3d. I added elements of glamour dust here n there cos I dont seem to beable to do a card without it lol

Papertake Challenge 'Shape up'

Over here there is this weeks challenge...to use 3 shapes on your card. Well I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while, now it hasn't turned out as good as I pictured, but, I thought I won't waste all the bling and throw it!
