Challenge card

Over on One Stop Craft Challenges this week is 'Make it personal' I was asked to make some invitations for a lady who loves, pinks, gerbras and daisy type flowers. I put her name on the invitation, hence the 'personal' bit. She also loves pears so added a few to my flowers and the little pearl buckle

So cold here today, but, the sun is out so thats great!

Challenge card

Hi everyone

Well its Monday again and a start to another week! I've got a fir bit on this week and then my brain goes into shut down! It has taken me all morning to make 2 cards. Have made a spag bol for tonight that isin the slow cooker and couple of other general houseworky things...but! lol

I have used my FAV Stampin Up set, @Pocket Silhouettes' its so brilliant, I absolutely love using it. Stamps so perfect every time.

Over on My Time to Craft their challenge this weeks is Damask I have used a SU Speciality paper range, this is 'Bride' I cannot tell you how gorgeous this paper is, its so thick and pearly just fabulous!

The butterfly is an SU punch, double layered and glittered with the same bride paper

Colours used to stamp are Perfect Plum and Sage Shadow form the pastels and Pixie pink

Challenge card

Over on Charisma this week this Challenge to create something using Fruity Colours

I actually made this card in honour of my very special friend, Gill that has been looking at the SU catalogue for the first time and these colours form the Soft Subtles range have caught her eye...Perfect Plum, Pretty in Pink and Mellow Moss...AH Ive just realised Ive used Certainly Celery :( She will laugh and NOT be surprised lol...sorry Gill! Think it works ok and I hope I've not put her off the colours!

The stamp set I have used is my new FAV...Circle Circus. It's such a FAB set, you get 10 different circles all with different designs. Im a big fan of random patterns so fell in love wiht it as soon as I saw it in the catalogue. Would work well with so many colour combinations

Im entering it for the Charimas Challenge and am calling my colours....PLUM, LIME and PINK GRAPEFRUIT!

I do need to add a sentiment somewhere but have'nt got too many that work yet in my ever increasing SU collection!

OCC Challenge

Hi everyone, its been so chilly today, I thought they had said it would be much milder today! Oh well can't moan cos cant do anything about it LOL

I saw this sketch over on Our Creative Corner and somehow came up with this design. Had a bit of a pink moment.....well often do! lol

It's my fav SU stamp set Pocket Silhouettes stamped onto the brighter pink with Petite Pink and Rose Passion pink. I do love the subtle effect. Now I wrestled with the sentiment a bit, then decided to use the Warm Wishes from the Cheers and Wishes set. I stamped it in dark green and added the green piece of ribbon for a change from black! The little pears are stuck with the guide of a Crafters Workshop template

** I need to change that knotted bit of ribbon...not a great bow ty-er so will have a think lol

Delightful sketches

Well it has been so mild here today, well in comparison to what we;ve had of late! I even had my coat undone when I went out today LOL

OK, so Ive done this quick card for the Delightful Sketches I knew I fancied using the SU Simply Said stamp set. Oh gosh it is so versatile, there are flowers, hearts, sentiments, fab set. I remembered seeing the lovely miss Piggy did a colouor combo sketch of black white and +1,,,,so I did just that with turquoise as my +1. Well numpty that I am I suddenly realised that the colour chal, was for Anya...WHOOPS. Quite frankly I dont think using black was good for get well either..so all in all!!!!! LOL

Mojo Monday Sketch 121

Hi everyone and hope you all having a good Sunday.

Im lucky Sunday as Steve cooks the dinner! He hasnt ever cooked until last year, 20 years of no t even a slice of toast hehe YES spoilt by me!! Then he deicded he would have a go and enjoys it...well who am I to complain LOL

I need to bump up my stock of 'general' crds so decided to make one using the Mojo Monday sketch. FAB sketch, so crisp n clear.

Used SU card stock, its a perfect baby blue, a colour I have often never found the right shade..until now YAAY

Must say a big shout to my buddy Scoopy for making it onto the Winter Wonderland DT team...well done hun, VERY well deserved

Friday Sketchers card

...adn second SU card [fanfare] lol

OK so I followed the sketch over on Friday Sketchers, I left my background white and added the relevant papers to form the sketch. I've used the fabulous Pocket Silhouettes, again such a versatile stamp set, as are most of their stamps. The sentiment is from Cheers and Wishes. The butterfly is a SU punch. One of the best factors about Stampin up is the fact you can exactly match the bard and ink and ribbon as they do the same colourways throughout. I have used Always Artichoke and Rose Red from the Rich Regals. Ive added sprinkles of glitter...cos I can't not! lol

Well it is certainly milder here but Im quite chilly now!

First SU card...

Well my starter kit arrived yesterday and WOW it's amazing, so much there. I was/am completely overwhelmed. Not to mention nervous at making a card from it LOL

Anyways I made a quick simple card, using my new love The Jumbo wheel and the 'It's Beautiful' cartridge. it has endless possibilities. The SU 'handles' have, I think, a unique design factor, in which you can clip in its own ink cartridge. The one I have is Perfect Plum [from the Soft Subtles range] as is the card stock.

This fits the Charisma challenge this week..Anything new..well couldnt be much newer eh hehe

Im a fan of tone on tone and instantly pictured this card! Left it completely plain, one cos I wasn't sure what sentiment! and second cos I like plain cards! OK so I haven't set the world alight but Im a beginner so be gentle lol

Well its official.......

I am an a Stampin up Demonstrator! whoop whoop and a tad excited

Will tweak me blog accordingly, when I can work what Im allowed to say ...or not lol

Thanks to my 'Mummy' Sarah-Jane and 'Grandma' Jules he he she will kill me for calling her that. ~Both girlies have been a great help and answered all my 'stupid' questions. they are both a great inspiration...thanks girlies :)

Can't wait for my SU Starter kit to arrive and I can start a whole new world of creating!

Flippin freezin here, ok there are far colder places but its cold enough lol We cant safely get out of our road, well not in the car anyways, its total ice. We aren't a through road so it hasnt had much traffic on it. May have to try tomorrow. Steve has a 4x4 truck, but, nothing wont slip on ice eh!

One card 3 challenges

Blimey O'Reilly its chilly! We've had a little share of snow, which is pretty unusual for us on the 'sunny' IOW. Its so 'exciting' not for those who get stranded, but, we were like kids with our doggie Belle. It was fun LOL Steve was making snowballs, throwing them for her to catch, she then in turn ran indoors into the porch and shook her head to break it up....3 times this happened, daft dog. Mind you she probably had a cold mouth too...things we do eh!! She was so excited though have to say...no cruelty honest haha

Anyways back to the matter in hand!

I had to make a card for baby twins, a boy and a girl, so I did my usual design with the relevant info. Shouldn't have the cheek to post it really, you've seen similar a million times...sorry! But, it proves I've not been idle if nothing else. Also made 25 baby Thank you cards for a friends Daughter to give, packed them up and sent with no piccy so can't show them!

sorry not said it before, been nursing a poorly head! NOT self inflicted either..more's the pity lol

today has been a day of searching...ribbon I bought before Christmas for a wedding order..can't find..Blue card, I also got before Xmas isn't the right shade looking again, so been searching for more of that, Royal blue is so hard to find :( But me buddy Jules I think may be my saviour and sell me her SU card..so a PHEW for that. There is something else, but, it has left my mind for now..LOL I will be panicking again in a nano second!
