It's Saturday again, don't they come round quickly!
It's Theme week over on "Less is More" and this week we have chosen
Boy, I had SUCH a hard time for this week! Despite being a SU demo I don't do that many stamping techniques, I do what I do, if you know what I mean! I rarely mask, hence... struggling!
Les Miserables is my FAV musical, as it is for my friend Chrissie and many of you I guess. I love this stamp set and decided to replicate the Les Mis scene that represents the show. [The make escapes me, I will amend the post once I sort out whose it is]
I firstly stamped the girl, Cosette, onto my 6x6 card blank. I then made a 'stencil' mask for the torn flag behind. To achieve this effect I had to mask the girl using paper. Paper works best as card is thicker and likely to make a line in your design. I hand drew and cut the idea of the torn flag. Very crudely done, but I think you get the overall effect.
So I had 2 forms of masking, one with the girl and the other with the stencil.
I am refraining being over picky with my card, little bit's aren't quite right, but, looking at it, I'm pretty pleased with the overall look.....kinda!
We've had a good week with a 'new edition' to our family!
A shiny sparkly new car!
Well, not brand new, but, new to us. Only had one owner for a while, 2600 miles on the clock...what a steal! So we chopped in our 2 cars for one! Hubby and I will now share. Living on the island we hardly do many miles, so 2 cars were such a waste 90% of the time!
The buzz of a new car soon wears off, but, we are enjoying it at the moment!
I am off to 'work' today in the wedding shop I design for. I will then be in there most Saturdays until further notice.
Have a super week all and
thanks for stopping by and leaving such wonderful comments
