"Less is More" Week 69

Hi everyone, form a beautiful sunny Shanklin. Isn't it glorious!

Now did anyone remember me saying I wans;t as rushed last week...hhhmmm lol

Somehow it was!!

Our challenge this week on "Less is More" is

NOT A SQUARE

.......or even a rectangle

OK so I'm a square-ish person, like everything with neat angles, so this was a challenge!

Challenges Frosted Designs Weddings

For my 'Trapezium' shaped card I decided to show you a new range from my wedding stationery portfolio. A Bridesmaid thank you card., I have various styles, but this is the most minimal. Some have ribbon or bead handles and more decoration colour matched to the brides scheme.

Pretty self explanatory. The base was cut from an A4 sheet and folded to make a DL card size. I then trimmed a little off diagonally from each side. I did 3 cm in at the folded spine, down to the original edge. I then printed the sentiment on the computer. Passions Conflict and Papyrus font and cut the strip to look like the front of a handbag and stuck using 3d foam. The flowers are just punched from a pearly white vellum using an X Cut Retro flower punch. The larger are double layered, with the smaller single one in the centre.

I glittered the sentiment and added gems to finish the flowers.

I cut a large cirle from my Grand Calibur, socred and folded in half. Knowing I wanted to emboss onto the black I dusted with my Static Remover pad from Stampin Up. There's no way you can emboss onto black card without one! [well I can't] The white leaves are Stampin Up Autumn Splendor, embossed with SU white embossing powder. The gold leaves are a clear set, that escapes me [I never keep packets tut tut] Then the daisies are from Stampotique, I gold embossed onto a pink piece and orange piece. The centres are Stampin Up Silver Glass Glitter...lush!

I do think the 'white' space police may be on the look out for me, but, propertionallly I think there is just enough...just!

I'm gonna stop saying I'm back to 'normal' and just quietly plod along in my own little world and eventually get to you all.....

"Less is More" Week 68

Good morning everyone

Full 'wedding' week for me again. We also have an open event at the shop I design for Sunday 4-8 so am making different wedding cards, thank you cards for that. Should be a good event, fingers crossed.

Hubby is still away, home Tuesday evening. They haven't had the best of times as despite a good hot start they have had 5 days of horrid weather, which isn't great when youa re abroad in a sun orientated resort! 

Onto "Less is More" It;s Theme week and

Baby or Child 

I woudln't call child cards my speciality! I make a fair few baby cards, but, blog them all the time.

Just a digi card using a Docrafts Me To You cd, I purchsed from Create & Craft.

"Less is More" Week 67

Hello and happy Saturday!

Firstly I have to give a BIG shout out for my partner Chrissie. She has covered for me on "Less is more" for what seems like an age, while I juggled with a baby, wedding stationery, family and ironing!!

So THANK YOU my friend, I should be back on track now......!


Hubby is away now for 11 days. He is on his annual trip to Kalamaki with a bunch of our friends. I choose not to go, I'm not a sun worshipper andhate flying. I do wish them a FAB time, know they will enjoy!


I have had problems with blogger too these last couple of days, it just would not load, no matter what server I used......BAD blogger!!


I had a text from Joe's mummy yesterday..."Thank you for teaching Joe to crawl...NOT!"

I am actually out at the moment, setting up a wedding at a local venue, which is modern and lovely. Next Saturday, however, the set up is Osborne House...so swish, a wonderful venue to host a wedding .....the history! I do hope Queen Victoria approves.

So onto "Less is More" and One Layer. 
Not even the dreaded anymore for most of you, which is fabulous!

"Less is More" Week 66

Good morning

What a fabulous week I've had with our little Joe. Hard work of course, at 48 looking after a 10 month old but totally enjoying every minute. His Mummy and Daddy arrive with us tomorrow night so we will hand him over lol They are then staying til Wednesday. My hubby then goes away Thursday night, so I know what I wil be doing Thursday....packing!!i also managed to get my wedding stationery for 3 weddings sorted. Amazing what you can do in snatches of time! 

Onto "Less is More" week 66 and the first of the month so colour

Yellow

I must make a HUGE apology for not commenting on everyone last week, it will be much easier this week!

On my list of favourite colours, yellow is right at the bottom! But I don't mind a splash.

If ever there was a stamp that suited me, it's this...not that I'm glam or wear a yellow hat...it would be pink lol

There is no name on this stamp, just the price! I stamped it slightly off the edge and then restamped the hat on yellow card and mounted it on 3d pads to give some dimension. To finish I stamped the DIVA Stampotique, it works perfectly I think.

This stamp is Hero Arts Woodland Grasses which would be green, but, I rather like them in yellow shades. Stampin' up So Saffron then a hint of More Mustard. I did add Glamour Dust, but cannot get a picture to show the sparkle. The sentiment is PTI stamped in Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip

I stamped the grasses slightly off centre, then once I added the sentiment the whole design is balanced and there is the same width either side.
